Description
Very strange clouds from a nearby thunderstorm one sunset evening earlier this summer. Tried to get a more creative view my sitting in the tall grass. Thanks for looking!

Yes, cumulus mammatus. They are indicative of strong updrafts into the main cloud. Often such updrafts help in the formation of large hail. Nice capture with the sidelighting sun. A gorgeous picture.
