Great image, has excellent tone and shading. Very evocative, I think it's a land plant that got washed up but can't tell for sure.

Wow, if that isn't an alien creature from another galaxy I don't know what is! Looks like something from a 1950s B scifi movie. Were you able to communicate with it? Wonderful black and white shot.
