Description

They scorn, Look sideways at me And shake their heads. My admiration is laughable to them. But who are they To condemn me for feeling again, For starting to open my heart To possibilities. Who are they to judge When adultry is prevalent Amongst these people? I know my love will forever be unrequitted, And I do not interfere In places I do not belong. But my heart is grateful That it can feel again, Can soar high from the depths of darkness, and encounter the scenic views from above the clouds. It is the process of healing For which I rejoice. The symbolic wall of stone Has softened to sponge, Allowing heat and life To seep through the sieve. Laughter has meaning, Is uplifting again And not sour. Love has a sigh of ecstacy, Pure oxygen to the lungs of my soul. Let their sarcasm stem from their jealousy. Let it multiply, Overcome them, So they can learn what rebirth means. What being able to breathe without thought again is like after years of struggle. Let them learn from their own mistakes And then let them try and scorn me again. I just smile peacefully. ******************** No notes, just a peaceful smile and wave to you all who visit with me....

You tell 'em! ... such feelings can't be quantified ... and they're barely controlled at best. They are also pre pre-eminently personal and can ONLY be truly known by you alone. A smile is perhaps the best response to such sad folks. That, and your lovely uplifting poem made me smile also. Mike
