Hello! I did went to a walk with an good friend..... and try to catch some okey photos... and then I tumble on this butty... This must be our last butterfly this autumn... It have to be... because I did scrape ice from the windscreenshield on my car today... I also belive the dandelion have calculate a bit wrong abouth wish time of the year it is...LOL Did use my Nikon D50...and Sigma AF 70-300/4-5,6 APO Macro Super II Wish you all a wonderful day, were ever you are. /Kim

Oooh! And not just any butty either....a beautiful peacock butterfly. They are usually the last butties to leave us as well...although i havent seen one for over a month, lol. I guess they travel south for the winter and thats why you got them instead of me, lol. And that dandelion sure looks healthy too considering you had to defrost your windshield this morning...burr. Even we havent had to do that yet...and i hope it will be a while before we do. Bla bla bla. Gorgeous macro!!!! Hey..i have that lens too and its definitly price-worthy wouldnt you say? Gorgeous capture : They are probably the longest-lived butterflies in Britain, with adults surviving from late July, well into the following spring, perhaps into June. Thus, contrary to popular belief that butterflies only live for a few days, some Peacocks may live to see their 11th month (albeit having spent five or six months of their adult lives asleep in hibernation).
