I am finally able to share some of my scanned slides with you.This reef forms part of the vast chain of islands and reefs which make up Sulawesi,Indonesia. We were exploring land and sea for Operation Drake an international voyage of discovery. The flagship was the brigantine Eye of the Wind seen in the distance.

Looks like they are diving with scuba gear. Doesn't look deep there but its incredible clear. Love that huge boat in the background... Aloha

Well the slides are from 1980 ! And my time at the scanner is limited. Sharky you are correct, the shot was posed in shallower water to get this above and below view, no actual dives happened on this exact spot, the reef wall was nearby and was an astonishingly unspoiled reef dropping to 300 feet. Divers from Australia agreed that it was better than the Barrier reef. I will share more from this expedition if you can put up with the quality ,they are from a rarely visited part of the world.
