Description

What a sweet ride this was. From 10:30 until 4:30 we drifted in a canoe through one majestic scene after another sprinkled with a few shoots through rapids. Captain Brenda (aka justalice) is posting lots of the shots we got there. Being the Skipper, she took most of them while I busied myself trying to keep us off the rocks. lol! Btw, this is the anniversary of the day Brenda and I met face to face one year ago so, oh yeah, we're celebrating! A wonderful week to all and Thanks for looking! Ken

Wonderful muted colors and the reflection goes on forever. Just dreamy... Looks like it was a good day on the creek. Usually once a year several of us get a 10 man raft and raft the 7,8 or whatever miles down the American River. There are some small areas of white water including one that is fun over some boulders with spray and the chance of going in sideways or backwards and dumping, but we haven't done that yet...well, my first year doing it I managed to go through backwards, but that was a long time ago and I've never been thrown out (we've had a couple who have though). The lazy stretches are pretty relaxing and with a fully loaded ice chest on board, its the best way to spend a day on the river. :-)
