Description

Hello All! I havn't had much time with the move lately to go out and do photoshoots... so I don't know how crazy I am about this paticular composition but since I LOL practically risked my life to get two feet away from this snorting foot pounding stomping bison here, I thought I would share it today haha.. There is a place nearby that has old western buggys and wagons for movie sets and a horse coral. I regularly take the girls to feed the horses carrots there. Cept two of the horses had been sold off and there were two huge angry bison in this one stall. They were snorting and stomping. Kids said to me " Mom don't get too close - those horse ladys say they can be pretty dangerous. I waited for the horse workers to drive off in thier big old white truck in a wake of dust..., when they were gone so I went over and stuck my head and upper body thru the gate. This one finally took a rest and I nervously got a few feet away from this guy . This tempermental bison was really NOt AT ALL happy about his new living arrangements~!_ or me getting so close ~!!!_ -a few times before he rested he started to charge and I backed off . ( uhm My family thinks I am quite crazy) . They sure are beautiful animals though. Those horns do seem a little intimadating though I must say I was trying my best not to shake when I took this macro with my little pocket nikon from two feet away!! LOL... Have a great day there!! still trying to get things a bit more organised in my new home here and then lots of school events going on - tonight is a big harvest feed . (Both JAnel and Chrissy won the corn husking events for thier classes( one wins for each class out of 30 students )yesterday hehe.,.. heehee i am a proud Mom! ). I canno believe its October already where did the year go ? Getting colder here finally have to turn on the heat in this home !!.. * please view at full size to see him best thank you! Love to you all! ((( BIg hugs !! ))) ~Kimmers ♥ ! :O)

You got a good shot here. But I heard they was very mean. I had a bull run after me one time and i do not wish to have a Bison run after me or you. need to remember that God made these animals the way they are intill He comes back. Then you can ride this one if you wish.

This is ANOTHER shot that I wold love to have your permission to share with my "Cherokee Arts" group. I am putting together a website for the group, still in progress, at http://ani-kutani.com/cherokee-arts/ . Please contact me at shaman@ani-kutani.com and let me know if I may share 2 of your photos with my group (with full credit, of course!). This is MUCH better than my Bison shots on the Anadarko rez. The day was too overcast, and I was not as WILD & CRAZY as you! lol.... Li Luyi

Oooh! What a grand looking steak! So thats a bison huh? Did ya know there are rats called bison rats? Well they look nothing like this fella thats for sure....alot smaller to begin with...but oddly enough they make excellent gloves. #:oP Awesome close-up of this giant thing!!! It sure look like a cross between a mammuth and a ordinary cow doesnt it? The eye couldnt have been any crisper. Have yourself a wonderful weekend!!! #:o) P.S. I think it might not qualify as a macro though as you tagged it in your keywords, lol.

Like all to defer the attraction of the beautiful stereotype temporarily occulted the inherent risks with the nature of the animal. Concern came afterwards. Can be even a light feeling of miracle? Superb shot !!!

I love deer and goats and sheep and have taken lots of pictures of them, but I never got any closer to a buffalo than 50 feet. You really ought to be careful! Perfect shot!
