Description
This is my first posted Vue image. It was suppose to be about learning to use light but I never got that far. I ran into some problems and would like some suggestions here.
#1) Tried to use a sphere with cloud mat and then tried to use a plane with cloud mat. Did not work because the scale is way too small. Can anyone direct me to a cloud tutorial?
#2) Can you plop render small parts of your image like in Bryce?
#3) Bryce gives you 8 different view presets, looks like Vue only has 4. Are there more?
#4) How do I bring in Vue items that I have purchased? Through 'import'?
Thanks for any helpful hints. I'm sure I need a lot more experimenting but sometimes you can spend an hour trying to figure out how to do something that is simple.
Added the cloud in post (because of above problem) and added a touch of Xero effects to soften the image.

Well Nancy, I'm no good to ya, don't Due Vue(Damn). However if this is what yue can due when you don't know what yer dueing then Look out World whe ya due know what to due with Vue(man that was a lot of UEs). The Red and Copper really PoP in this & Peace

Looks pretty good for a "Newbie" image. I'm afraid I'm not familiar with Vue, but I have certainly seen some incredible CG done in that app. Don't they have a couple versions of Vue? A high end app. and a more affordable version? I understand they're both good. Just wondering which you have. Sorry I can't be of any help to you, but it looks like you're off to a pretty good start.

WooHooo! Looks great! I have Vue, its CD sit over there in the rack because my poor dinky machine can't handle it. After putting 3 objects it slowed to a crawl like Bryce does (on my machine) with 100s. Excellent start here. Surely someone has your answers. (btw, gotta love Xero effects!)

A different Vue for sure. This is amazingly deep {perspective) and oh so beautiful! I know nothin bout no vue - what you talkin bout? If this is learning, then I can only say you're sure on the way and this is an excellent point to have obtained!!!

Love colours u use her on the trees. It make a great deep. Red/copper on the close up trees/bushes.and the lighter greens for the far away moutains. Sorry can't help with the questions.But I'm sure u will find out sooner or later. A lovly image for a "Newbie".

I can answer #2... Yes you can render spots in Bryce.... Portion out what you want to keep and re-render the other portions..... box shaped portions... You are "increible" spanish.... It looks like a dam painting..... I don't know squat about VUE..... ABout that devorce...!

I know nothing of Vue, except that I need to get it some day. For your firts try, this is incredible!! And from the way I know you mastered Bryce...I've seen your kitchen!!! I know you will master Vue!! Excellent image!!

Thanks for the support everyone! Truly appreciate it! lol@Eric...that kitchen was a lot of polys, huh? :p @Helix...got Vue Esprit...the $229 version of Vue. Thought it was a nice middle of the road choice :) Tom, hoping that divorce doesn't have you singing the blues, friend.

Yes you can import objects into Vue just as you can in Bryce :)

Way kool for a NEWBIE...hehehe, camera presets ?...geez I didn't even realise it had them, I just move it where ever I want it, stuff the presets ! as for clouds... why do it the hard way ?, just add an atmosphere and then open the editor to adjust the clouds to what ever you want ! ( that works for me, as I use Vue 5 infinite, not sure about Esprit ?) great start, now pull your finger out and practice ! LOL & ~Cheers~ :o)

Fantastic composition. What?! No girls? Not even dressed ones... What a disappointment. 8-) The composition is very good being your first Vue image. I used Vue a long time ago and don't remember much about it. If I'm not mistaken you don't have cloud planes like in Bryce. To do clouds yo have to enter the atmosphere editor and create your clouds there. It's a bit like the Bryce atmosphere lab, so you won't get the clouds exactly like you want them and where you want them. If I'm not mistaken, there's no plop renders, although the preview render is faster than in Bryce. Yes, you have to import the things you bought. I had problems with that too and some objects I bought or found for free never worked. I think I have to try again Vue... although I'm so used to Bryce that I do everything quicker in Bryce. I hope you find your way around Vue quickly and can soon be uploading the same fantastic images you were doing before. Oh... I think clothes don't work well in Vue... hint, hint... 8-)
