Description

Playing around with a Wacom Tablet. Does anyone know why this came out brown instead of black? I had the colour set to black and was using a soft edged pattern pen.

AAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaah!!! Maureen ! She's back ! Thank God ! I though you had abandonned her ! I love your drawings but... I can' well understand this family ? Who is who ?I though that the grown up woman was her mother ? And now I read that she has run in Brazil... Now thinking about it, could it be that the left grown up female is the sister of Dark

Hehehe!!! I just adore Maureen!! Great situational comedy!! The kid is funny! Why not black? Not sure, but I have had that happen when the opacity was not 100%.

The twin in the picture is Darkly's sister, Gently. Their mother is sister of Melanie, Maureen's best friend.

So Mel's sister in Brazil? Studying Brazilian Cougars? hehe! I love the frames where Gently says 'what's wrong with sixteen?' and then throws her hands up - wtf, wtf, wtf! Hahaha! Haven't a clue about the color but your work is up to its high standard of excellence!

And I thought that all families were like that, Rozanne .. ;o) Does Maureen have an anti-gravity handbag? I notice that in frame 5 of 6, Maureen is holding both hand up in dismay. What happened to the bag.. ; o) The brown problem? It looks so like the analogue mixing ink in an old rubber reservoir fountain pen, when it has not been used for ages and the red rubber starts to dissolve and mix with the old carbon based ink. I no longer use a WACOM tablet ( doctor's orders, you know, I just could not swallow it ). SORRY! Where was I?..) I now use an A4 Medion and an A6 Hyperpad ( from Serif ), which give me bigger writing surfaces for the money, and are as responsive. I have never encountered this problem. Were you using Photoshop / Photoshop Elements / PhotoPlus / PaintShopPro? Perhaps the alternate colour was this maroon, and the other was the black? I take it that you gave up on the comic maker program, as giving you just one too many layers of procedure. I would not have the confidence to draw cartoons directly using the graphics pad and stylus. I would probably draw individual ones, save them as transparent PNGs, and reassemble them in a cartoon collage using Photoshop or WordPlus. Regards, John.
