Description
This is as far as I'm going to take the " space spud ". I could have done more to the cockpit and the outside but after all this was just a learning exercise and I have other models I'm working on.I finally figured out Flamingo {to a degree}. Getting my new maxed-out HP laptop helped to stop the crashes that I had on my old steam-powered 1Gig compaq,{I have a fast desktop but it's mainly a pants rack}.BTW: Why do I get a "page not found" error when I try to look up Rhino mini-tutorials?.Modeled in Rhino,Flamingo render. Only postwork was my name. As always C&C welcome. Thanks for looking.

great model! cockpit looks good. I am also learning Rhino3 and Flamingo 1.1 and hope to have some images to post in a few months. For now, my designs are done using TrueSpace 6.6

Very nice model. I really like your attention to details. Cheers!

A most excellent job in all aspects. The best "space spud" I have ever seen bar none. That cockpit would have fantastic visibility. I only wish the cockpit were wide enough to fit me into. I understand it should be for fit and atheletic young fighter jockeys though. The mini tuts were a victim of the change over but you can go to the Rhino Forum header and click on the "Forum Tutorials" button to see them now. I am sorry for any inconvenience. Please drop by the Rhino forum some time and talk to us about your models. What are you using for UV Mapping?

Thanks for the info UVDan. I used the mini tuts all the time and I was starting to get worried. As for the UV Mapping I'm still learning that, so I had to do it the hard way - nothing but decals. I will stop by the forum sometime. Thanks again.

Awesome modelling! DeHavilland would be proud of the design too.

Cool. I love the spare cockpit. It looks like it actually would be fun to fly. :)
