Trunk ornament from an early 50's Oldsmobile... black car with early morning sun on it..

In the 50's and early 60's Oldsmobile's advertising name was "Rocket V8" for its V8 engine. It was first introduced in 1949 and was one of the first non-flathead V8 engines by GM. Made quite a stir at the time..and was fast. but I'm dating myself:)
