Description

In 1900, a major hurricane hit Galveston, Texas killing several thousand people. This monument was erected in 2000 in memory of those killed. You can Google or Yahoo it. There's even a few Discovery, History, and Weather Channel shows on it. I was trying to get a shot of lighting last night. I thought I'd post a pic without the lightning and one with a flash of lightning.... really wish I could have gotten a bolt of lightning in the shot. I set my digital camera on multiple shots and it took 16 in a row without a flash. I shined my flashlight on the statue and moved it to illuminate it evenly. The camera exposes for a limited time then goes on to the next shot for 15 shots. Even doing this the lightning has eluded me.
