Description
First Planet under construction. Coming to grips with driving results with textures and using Mojograph. A lot of work to do yet (not happy with sky and lower altitide textures) ...suggestions welcome.

Looks great! Snow looks real and the sky does too for this scene!

Snow looks really good, maybe add some domain distortion to the strata lines to break up the parallel lines. You don't have to use Mojograph to get good materials (unless you are using it for learning experience? ).

A nice start... Just keep experimenting !

Nice start Gary. As mentioned snow mat looks good. Bob offers some good advice.I can see some green in there I dontg know if its meant to be a grass plain or a green sea? If its a grass plain & you want to see more of it & only snow on the mountains, amend your altitude blend between the 2 materials:) The spiky formations may also look better if you reduce some scaling factors. Personally when I create rock I try to use more than 2 materials as a nested material tree, hard to see how many you have here. In addition "Save" regularly as differing file names so you can always go back to a previous version. Look forward to the final piece :)

This looks like a great start!.....just keep experimenting...the sky & lower alt textures you're not pleased with can be tweaked a multitude of different ways....Of all the good advice above the no 1 is to "Save" regularly (I usually have planets saved as "Name 1"...anything up to "Name 10" or more....each one being a tweaked version of the previous one)....a great way not to lose any minor changes to terrain or materials that actually look good and could be used again...^_^.....Have fun!!

Excellent crisp terrain and render.

Excellant work. Just work on the parallel lines in the background - bit of distortion
