Everything has been said about the lighting and the atmosphere, so I'll just congratulate you on the composition. The distribution of the different elements in any image is crucial to create an artistic render, and the way the up-front ridges lead the eye to the off-centre citadel is really beautiful. One of the best features of your render -the best, structurally speaking.

All around perfection Mario. Not only your atmosphere and the simplicity of the surfacing (perfect for this terrain btw) but the POV. I've had this and not been able to get a decent POV out of it. You did not only that but added, giving it a story to the mind of the looker. I can see soldiers running out of this through those funnels. Perfectly done.
