Description

I took this one this morning. I took some last week of blue flowers but did not post it. Will post it tomorrow. I just like to show that the swamps in in south Louisiana comes alove with flowers in the fall. I do not know about spring time; I did not have time to go and look. I been wishing to take a lot of photos of the swamps around here but I look at my photos of landscapes and I down and out with them. I looked on the net at the diff in 35mm and the big 8x12[ just guessing the size] film sheets cameras look. There is a big diff in how your photo will look. You can see what I took this photo with and all my photos. Guess I just keep dreaming and do what I got for now. thanks for looking and comments too. hope I get the nike 35 mm camera soon. My brother is giveing me his old one made in the 70's

Wow this is beautiful. I like all the yellow flowers in contrast with the green swampy water. And how the swamp meanders through the trees. I'd like to see more swamp pictures..

When I saw the title of this one, I thought a pic of someone up to their neck in swamp water after falling in!!! Then I remembered Fall in the US, is Autumn in the UK! LOL Wonderful photo Jock. Love those yellow flowers.

Did I ever tell you my family used to live by the swamps at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware? My dad was stationed there. That swamp was the ugliest, most mosquito infested swamp, and they liked it because of the muscrats. This is nothing like it! lol q-: Ya learn something new every day! Thanks Jock! (:

I have no technical comments at all, sorry, I'm lucky to remember to take off the lens cap! LOL! I love the photo. The contrast between the dead and dying forest giants, and the wild carpet of life is striking. A circle of life. The trees drop their foliage and eventually lie down themselves and decay into nourishment for the next generation. Maybe I do have some advice, stop beating yourself up! try looking at your work through someone else's eyes. You may be pleasantly surprised. Thanks for sharing. BJ

This is beautiful. Yellow seems to the prevalent color of fall flowers here also. (rag weed and black-eyed susans everywhere) I hope you make it to the same location in the spring.

The Louisiana bayous and swamps are invigorating. They have so much to offer and the wildlife in and around them is plentiful. This is a wonderful shot of this swamp area. A clean shot and one that makes you feel alive.

When my family moved from my mother's Brownie reflex and black and white to an Argus C-3 35mm and my father as photographer he added a darkroom and laboratory chemicals and a tripod, cable release and photoflood lights as well as blue dips for the flashbulbs. He still never tried to take a photo like you do. He just took snapshots of whatever was before him. As a viewer I just got to stressed out waiting for the great shot, the magic convenience store. This has the hush of temperance. You know where to look and don't mind the search.
