Description

Three sort poems dealing with everyday issues. Comments most welcome. Reality Vs. Oblivion My last drink is poured, With it my life ebbs away. Mists of inebriety caresses A harsh and brutal reality. The drink you so crave, Is a false remedy for fools. If oblivion is what I seek, I'll have one more for the road. **** Casual sex Sex on a pillow, No room for navigation. Wide planes of tits and asses, Wilting , rotting in bogs of destitution. Sex on a pillow, Semen stains on dirty sheets. Slack muscles seek contentment, Wilting, rotting in bogs of destitution. **** Subliminal message Sexy dress, generous d

Question: in Casual sex "Semen stains on dirty shits" should that be "Semen stains on dirty sheets?" [I'd certainly prefer that, but it's your poem!] It's sad that there have been 19 views and no comments - have the readers been struck dumb by the maturity of your poems? Ah well, 'twas ever thus. This is an excellent trilogy - the links between each poem are subtle but discernable. Each could easily stand alone, but are that much more effective as a group. They are all honest - even to the point of [justified] harshness. As a group they point unerringly to underside of our attitudes to sex and attraction. The picture of the failed predator in the last part is priceless, the tawdry nature of [some - there are exceptions] casual sex is exposed so well in the centre as is the sheer despair of 'the message in the bottle' in the first. Very very thought-provoking. Mike

Three very thought provoking poems. Thanks for sharing them. I like Reality vs. Oblivion the best, although as I don't drink I have no idea why. They are all well linked. They present the reader with a peek into another's life. Then they can either, recognize themselves and enjoy the mirror. Or run horrified because someone else might see them recognize themselves.
