with the heavy overcast, there is no doubt that all would be grey or black. excellent capture

From the thumb, I thought you had toned the image...even better as it appeared more closely to the actual scene. I would likely try to level the line of the far shore but other than that...this is a wonderful picture and well done in both mood and composition.
