Hi,
My name is Dean Etheridge and welcome to my bio.
I practice as a qualified engineering design professional, using high-end 3D modelling and manufacturing software. My product designs are specified globally on a wide variety of applications, including automotive, aerospace and other diverse high-technology applications.
I possess a solid grounding in the use of traditional media techniques, and my work naturally progressed to encompass advancements in the use of digital tools. From here, it was a small step to rediscover my love of more uniquely artistic themes.
My graphic style has always been strongly associated with reproducing realism as closely as possible, and probing the envelope of how this can be achieved across different sets of software packages.
I am honoured to have had my work selected for publication in several areas. These include the DAZ/deviantART ‘12 Months of 3D’ competition; ‘ImagineFX’ magazine; Ballistic Publishings’ ‘EXOTIQUE 2’ and 'EXOTIQUE 4' and '3DArtist' magazine.
My other interests are photography and travel. For the latter, I have been privileged to have travelled to, and explored many continents around the world. My favourite second home is SE Asia, and I am greatly influenced by both it’s people and culture.
I currently live in the UK with my wife and daughter who are both very special to me, and hugely supportive in my work.

This is a great image, highly recommend a good look at the faces of the soldiers, you've captured the fear and horror in great detail. Excellent effects, a great render goes to my faves ^^

I agree with CrimsonDesire.

Even at 1:30 am UK time, this is formidable Deane! Plenty of motion in this, beautifully presented. Excellent! Full marks! Steve :o)

I like these action pics you do! You've captured a lot of motion and dynamics here. Poses and expressions are great, and the DOF is cool. You've managed to conceive and execute a pretty chaotic scene, fitting the subject matter.

as always a truely wonderful snapshot in time and the chaos it shows. Beautifully posed, should be in the book ?: well done my friend.

Wonderful action scene. The lightly blurred background looks nice and helps the main characters to stand out. Beautiful soldiers. Great poses and expressions. It's a pity that Volksfest didn't make you forget about clothes. 8-) Fantastic job.

Excellent work Deane!

Great action scene Deane, the subtle blurry effect certainly adds to the sense of drama. The only pointer I would make is whether the girl on the left is just slightly overtwisted to blend with her bottom half. Apart from that, great work.
