Hi there!!!
Hope everyone is resting nicely on this Sunday!
I decided its time for a flower upload again! Its called the Common Marsh Poker (Vuurpyl in Afrikaans - which directly translates to rocket). This is a widespread species in southern Africa occurring in Eastern Cape, Free State, KwaZulu-Natal, Swaziland, Mpumalanga and Zimbabwe, with an outlier recorded at Worcester in Western Cape. It occurs at higher altitudes, from about 300 m upwards. It is found naturally in marshy areas, streambanks and mountainous grassland. ( just copied and pasted this piece from another website.. no way I would know that!) LOL
Anyway... the original is in the bottom corner... I decided to make an alternative Common Marsh Poker!! Looks Alien, huh?

You know something? If you had only posted the altered one i would have slapped you. The original is more beautiful in its colors. But the way you now presented these is sheer and utter brilliance. I like it, exotic and different. Plus, since it's based on a natural image, it looks completely real. I also noticed he sky's changed colors to, kind of like one of those alternate reality type things. Very nice!

Fabulous sharp capture of an exotic and fascinating species of plant! Something we Americans would call esoteric! I may have a few shots of it in my photo library and will check to make sure. Bravissima stuff, my dear!!!
