Description

Hello everyone!! I know I've been gone way too long again, but my creative juices stopped all together for a while. Lots of stuff going on and trying to adjust, but I'm okay. :) This is my first in flight hummingbird shot that has been fairly clear. I know the lighting isn't very good, but the sun was in the wrong place, and as you all know, the hummingbird wasn't about to stay there while I switched positions. lol I have two that I want to share with all of you. So here's the first. Hope you like it and I'll stop my rambling for now. :)

Brilliant capture wonderfully timed with a good shutter speed to get wing motion. Nature shots are never easy because it means grabbing the shot when you can and conditions might not always be good. If you want to lighten the bird add a light in PS Filter/render/lighting effects, a flashlight or soft omni with an large diameter bigger than the pic. play with controls to get just the finish you like ;)

A very good attempt and as you say, but for the lack of lighting, it is a spectacular photo. Very nice.

Brilliant timing and the result has a lot of animation going. Welcome back and good luck!

Any shot of a hummingbird takes skill (and quickness of the finger on the shutter). I still say it is a wonderful shot, and I sure wish I could capture a hummingbird with my camera. :o)

It's a pretty amazing capture. I know how fast these little critters are and you did a great job.

Well done. Great that it got back into you and you got this fine shot. We all have "spells of blank canvas" for whatever reason. Go for it!

I can't capture these things with my eyes! Let me say with you, YEAH! I know it was a wonderful feeling to get it on film. To freeze a wild beauty for one moment in time. Whatever lighting problems you say exist cannot begin to affect my enjoyment in its' beauty. No critical advice, but some for life. Sit back for now and revel in the beauty of the shot, the lighting issues, if there are any, will be there tomorrow. Today enjoy the victory. Lecture done Thanks for sharing. BJ

Sometime the sun and nature work against you when trying to get a shot. You did well here under adverse conditions to get this beauty....congrats~ Aloha~

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY FOR YOU!!!! That has got to be the hardest bird (shouldnt it be labelled as an insect instead?) of all to capture. And you managed to snatch one in flight no less....are they ever still btw? Awesome capture Danielle. Perfect shutterspeed to still be showing them fluttering wings. Congratulations!!!! Have a wonderful week! #:o)
