Description
This picture is dedicated to Digimon, who provided the train model. (many many thanks!) Please feel free to be constructively critical of my work, it's the best way to learn. :c) 99.44% Bryce. Only one color correction in Photoshop 6.
This is also the first in my "Buster" Series of pictures.
A tired old URSA 0-8-0 pulls a string of flat cars up a dead end spur in the pacific northwest nearing home. Buster suns himself on a mossy rock, waiting his master who is on that train, to come home.
As the chugging engine pulls up the slope, Buster stretches, gets up, cleans a paw and waits patiently before he scampers back to his food bowl for dinner.

Buster is one lovely, patient cat. I do like him. I like this scene. there is so much detail that I don't want to be too critcal. But one small point, the rails don't look like metal. Aside from that, this is a terrific piece.

Buster is one brave cat too. You've done an outstanding job on elements in this work.

nice!!!!

great scene and THE CAT. the smoke is really good.

really really nice smoke. The over all composition is very interesting. The dirt along the tracks doesn't quite fit in with the quality present in the other bits.... but it is not noticable or distracting. The yellow on the leaves seems a little bright given the rest of the scene's lighting. But another minor thing.

Looks very real...

Nice image! Great layout and composition. I agree, the tracks could use some work; shape & color on the rails and the track bedding is a bit saturated. But these are minor things in a major picture. Buster looks great, as does the smoke and pretty much everything thing else. Well done!

Good sense of motion in the image. Nice work

Beautiful image. Bravo chat :-)

Yeah, that steam is awesome!! I agree pretty much with everything said above, except for one thing. The texture of the cat makes him more of a "plastic statue" than a real cat. There are lots of great cat textures out there for both P4 cat and Mil cat, including a lot that are free. (See PlanIt3d.com.)

Excellent work! Very good composition. (All of the above about the cat)

Very impressive!

I like the way you have presented Eric's great train model, the best Bryce smoke FX I've seen ! The only crit, is the cats paw is bent too much and looks actually broken, compared to the cat sitting on my lap...OUCH ! The rest is very well done ! ~Cheers~
