Probably one of the most erotic hills I've ever seen!!!! Gosh my mind works in some odd ways sometimes. Interesting perspective, the green band is most peculiar, any idea how it came about? Also where was this shot? Your info is... enigmatic to say the least! Best regards, Steve.

What an unusual picture! Beyond the Hill, which is odd, and man made looking? Is what appears to me, as an oddly subtle red/green seperation, tempting me to get out my 3D glasses...but I think it's just a trick of the light? Anyway! Wonderful image of an exotic looking hill!

No history on this view so I'm just winging it here... is this a man-made hill? It is so very nicely straight and pointed that it would almost seem like something constructed by early man. The colors and the clarity are amazing and I'd truly love to see this myself... and sample those wildflowers from yesterday's post one-on-one too! Very nice.

@ Steve: The hill has a fire-break running across it. It was burnt early in the season. The fire which destroyed the grass jumped this fire-break because of the strong winds. The fire-break now displays the longer green grass and creates the odd effect. The scene was captured in the Drakensberg in South Africa near Harrismith.

What magnificent contrast, Piet!!! The clouds -- with their lovely definition -- almost literally jump off the screen! The hill, though it has a grassy texture, looks artificial...manmade. It resembles some of the ancient pyramids found in various locales of Mexico and Central America. Very impressive capture, my friend.

@ PeeWee - the Oom and Tannie mos went out earlier than us in the mornings remember? They mos didn't want to go photo hunting with "the kids" giggle Excellent shot Oom Piet! This is really awesome! Hey, I haven't had the time yet to go check out what else I have of that weekend that might just work. I'll do so this weekend though ;0)

Good composition. The "green line" draws the attention to the focus point at the top of the hill. There an also a balance between the top left and bottom right of the picture.
