Description

But it still looks pretty wierd on the beach. I took this while crossing the bridge over what is usually a dried up river bed. It's quite an uneasy feeling cycling over this because the bridge is made of wood and you can see through the sides. The bicycle tyres make an eerie wooba, wooba, wooba sound on the slats of wood.

Wow, the skies have swallowed the earth, above and below. No wonder you were a bit worried.

Great picture, Rozanne. I understand, from the WHIMSYPEDIA, that "Woo Bah",is a recent illegal immigrant to Catalunya, stranded on his long trek home to Oz. A cross between a kangaroo and a sheep, known in non-PC days as a "Woolee Juhm Pah", it seems that he is the latest in a long line of spirit bridge guardians, who plaintively sing as people and animals cross above. Apparently he spent some years under a bridge in the grounds of an English 'public' school, living off the litter dropped by boys and masters, but gaining an invaluable insight into the future power brokers of the UK. Unfortunately he picked up a slight speech impediment, and now cannot pronounce his real name, namely "Roo Bah". [Sorry, I must start taking my tablets...] Regards, John
