Description
Another shot of my hubby. He was relatively annoyed with me 'cos I was taking pictures while he was still waking up. He survived though, and so did I!
I'm just trying something different here, hence the odd crop. Working? No?
I'm not sure why the shot is so noisy. It was shot on ISO 100! *shrug*

nice focus on the eye and very nice dof (great lens eh? ;) ). I think the crop works as it focuses attention on the only eye in there which is crisp. Well done :)

That is a very good and superbe portrait Johann!! The black and white tones/colours and the compo/pov made this piece very special! Regarding the noise you talked about.. I can see even better here on my monitor, specially were the chin! I am not sure about that noise tho. The ISO 100 seems fine did you try less ISO with higher focal length? or higher ISO with your f/1.4!! Really interesting, but other then that! You did fine on the crop as well! I like this portrait and thank you for the sharing! Have a nice day/night JOE

Would've liked a smaller aperture so that his lips and cip would've been in focus - otherwise, I like the split compo. Noise? I'm not sure - maybe your cam can't handle the DOF? That or it's the light...
