Oh My Gosh. You have captured exactly what you seemed to be trying for, it brings tears to my eyes, it is so sad, yet so beautiful, it is haunting. It is so lifelike in death, perfection in every little detail, okay, I'm going to stop now .. I've run out of words and just sit with my jaw hanging .. staring at this most beautiful image ....

Peaceful and sad are exactly the emotions this image transports. I like the contrast between the pale skin and the warmer colors of the foliage. About the bottle: Ha, ha, I wouldn't have guessed that J'adore was the model. Great idea - and I think your flakon is much lovlier. :) Masterfully painted image, Linda. I am especially impressed by the hands because I have my problems with hands. They always look clumsy and if they didn't belong to the body. rolleyes Applaus for your work and good luck for the Furiae book. :) Britta

Ok, so I looked at your homepage and your gallary there... I often look at pictures painted by other people and think that, hey! I can do that one day with just a little more practise, but when I see your work I feel totally lost and there is no way I will ever be able to do what you do... never. I'm glad you posted here and shared your fantastic painting! thanks!

Linda, your art has always been captivating, and now it's hard for me to tell it apart from a photograph! Except reality is rarely as lovely.
