Quinquereme of Nineveh from distant Ophir
Rowing home to haven in sunny Palestine
With a cargo of ivory,
And apes and peacocks,
sandalwood, cedarwood and sweet white wine.
This is the first ship in the poem. The rowers are from a race of extremely tall people with long long necks. They don't need oars as they use their extremely long necks:-)
Thankyou for viewing this little trio, and also for your very generous comments.
