I don't think this would be limited in appeal to only WW2 soldiers. Your illustrative work is alway magnificent. I love to see the creative ways you put your talent to work.

nice image and retro style......

This has that authentic risqu/i> look about it, Echo. My only criticism would be in the application of the crackle texture: it should probably be confined to the 'painted' areas only, and not to the bare aluminum. Otherwise, flawless. Vargas and Caniff would be envious. FIVE STARS

Aircraft talismans are one of my favorite styles. I love the attention to detail in the way the metal reflection looks curved. Denger has a point about the cracked paint look, but I thought it was supposed to represent dirt/oil on the aluminum hull. Your work always rocks, thanks for this one too!
RedundantlyAbundant
You have successfully created a realistic decal effect...impressive work as always.

In many ways it was the title that encouraged me to view this piece; what would "Government Yule" be? Perhaps an image depicting a totalitarian Xmas celebration in a futueristic setting? Or maybe a parody on the dichotomy between the supposed happy time of year and the fact that due to hardening, Government lead economics in the West so many people are fired or made redundant? No. It seems that the title indicates a symbology beyond my comprehension and I ma left to say only....nice botty!
