Description

Here is the image that will be on the cover of the next Poser 7 box (not the special edition). It was created with their new model (Sydney) - which was provided by e-frontier (I only had the head and shoulders to work with, since it wasn't completed yet.) Created custom texture maps and used AO, SSS, and custom light set. Post work in PS: soft focus, color correction and hair (Kozaburo as base)

Congratulations on being selected for the standard edition's box art. Was she rendered in P7, also, or did you have only the figure to play with?

Great work Mike! I don't mean to rain on this Poser 7 parade BUT I am one of your greatest fans and because I have been following your posts I know that you ve been posting images like this that were rendered in Poser 6. So my question is what else is new? If the image was done with absolutely no post work, then I will be impressed by P7, right now, the jury is still out and all bets are off

Congrats on the box art! Certainly well deserved. I'm happy to see the new Sydney rendered by a master like yourself; let's us know what is possible with this model.

Yea I have to agree with Geefal... I mean I've been getting the E-Frontier emails on 7 Reasons to get Poser 7, but I'm still yet to be really impressed. The 3rd reason, especially, really was bland to me. I mean multiple undos are pretty good I guess, if you deleted a character with clothing & textures that you'd like to be replaced, but all the rest seemed kind of vague... and the tutorials SHOULD be included. That shouldn't be one of the top 7 reasons to get Poser 7, that's for sure. Now I do like the built in lip-syncing, but from my understanding Daz is going to have to make V3 & M3 'compatible' with the software... which I guess shouldn't be too much of a problem for them. You'd think they would have already had some type of a deal going with E-frontier, but they obviously haven't. I'm sure if they had, E-frontier would have put that in their email instead of putting that the lip-syncing software is compatible with Poser characters only. So, with all that said, can you tell us anything about the software? lol Very stupid question though, you probably can not. Breach of contract I'd presume. Very nice image, though... But as like Geefal, the postwork really throws me off.

good ad for e-frontier ... the other preview images of ?Sydney? weren't impressing me, but this is absolutely fabulous. Great texture!

It's very nicely rendered and lit, but I have to say that I'm not impressed with the Sydney character. She looks a bit odd. Why can't e-frontier make decent looking humans? I think James wasn't too bad and Jessi needed morphs to look really nice. I'll stick with Vicky & Mike. But there you go.
