Description

Based on the moment Pandora can't contain her curiosity, opens her mystery gift box and lets loose all the evils into the world! Not entirely happy with the way this turned out, Daz's clothes on this (from Mediterranean Dress) are a bit chunky and didn't sit well with this pose. I tried to postwork it to make it better, but perhaps only partially succeeded. I also couldn't decide which view to use, both have their good points, so in the end decided to include them both - why not! Huge thanks for looking and your comments are really appreciated. Now off to a pub quiz - Cheers! Phil

P.S. Put together in Poser but then rendered in Vue to get the volumetric light effect in the box. Tried a few different times with different settings, the final image takes elements from a couple of them and then combined and postworked in PShop. I am not a purist - to me it is the final image that matters, the rest are just tools to help achieve that!

It has the feel of the ancient Greek myths nonetheless. And the dual view is a good idea for this story. Having said that, I've always felt that these "Curiosity Killed The Cat" tails were just propoganda to keep the people in line.

Good (cultural) idea and splendid rendering, bravo! I agree with you: only final image matters!

I agree with you my friend: the result is important, not how you got it!!! And here you have an excellent pic!!!!

Fun experiment, and nice work with the dramatic lighting! The clothes look pretty good in the lower image, except for the thighs. You might be able to airbrush some white over part of the edge between the fabric and leg to hide the transition. Of course you know I love postwork :)

Doesn't look like evils coming out of the box but that's exactly what happened to Pandora I guess... Excellent render!

Well done! Very good illustration of the mythology. Would be interesting to see the evil which comes out.
