Description

Although they may look similar, this is a different kitty than the one I posted on October 20. Just one of eight cats my neighbor fed each day until about two months ago. Now she's down to just three. The others were strays and have since been confiscated by the HOA and released elsewhere. Meow! Thanks for dropping by, and have a momentous day!

aww, do you know how long I've been seeking a black kitty with blue eyes? Or is that just reflection? Doesn't matter this kitty is purrty! I'd bring him home. =0) Nice shot. =0)

OMGosh! Knowing that here in the UK there are people even now, who practice the black arts, and they sacrifice black cats in their evil pursuits.. I saw this image and your title and was mortified at the thought of this beautiful little babe being available for such horrendous acts! I'm sure you didn't mean what you said - I do hope not - but the thought makes my blood run cold! We used to keep our black cat in all over Halloween for her own safety. We live by a heathland and nature reserve, and there are at least two known covens locally who will stop at nothing where these little creatures are concerned. Also mean school kids will maul them about and treat them so very cruelly, just for their own delights! I soooo hope this little puss finds a loving home - and your photo is absolutely brilliant by the way!

You captured the black fur well and most of all the color of these eyes are excellent.

AnnaKirsten: Hey, lighten up, young lady, I was just trying to add a little spice to the sauce! What's Halloween without a black cat? That's like ham without eggs, or Laurel without Hardy. I don't practice the black arts, and don't believe in animal abuse, but I thought this would be great satire. Then again, as a British subject, where over half the population believes in ghosts, you must be aware that black cats are actually witches in another form!

Ahem, to whom it may concern: Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year, so I'm going to keep him/her there and not save him/her for Christmas. Black cats are one of the icons of Halloween....you wouldn't put Santa Claus in a Fourth of July motif.

Great shot of this black cat....did you know most Humane Societies refuse black cat adoptions the two weeks before Halloween? Just to be sure they are not wanted for nasty reasons.
