Description

Had this freebie sci-fi tunnel module for a long time and decided to try doing something with it. Used one of Jonathan Allen's wonderful metal materials on it. Then created a realistic looking Hiro, using PoserWorld's Combat outfit for Hiro, augmented with Panko's Vietnam equipment and weapons for M3. Hiro's textures are "Total Realism Xtreme Resource for M3 & David" by VickieDavalos. The idea was to create a urban guerilla kind of guy, not regular armed forces person. I wanted to create a sense of "closeness" with the POV. Did I succeed? Also liked the backlighting on this one--something that I'm not all that good using. Jason Hair and the eyepatch was a freebie that I retextured. Thanks for dropping by and taking a peek. It's always appreciated; as are any comments. A special thanks to igrokit and Merlinspad for adding me to their favorite artists list. Jeremy

Yes I think you succedded admirably in creating a nice close quarters feel to the image with the tight tunnel. The outfit and equipment look great and the 'nam style "tunnel rat" referance, nice work ^^

Great pic, yet it doesnt represents the claustrophobic feeling nor the sense of dread of 1968!

I certainly agree with you, beowlar. I still can't fathom how anybody could have gone into those tunnels back in Vietnam. Gives me the willies just thinking about it.

a couple details ... the ruck on his back, was always dropped before entry. and the tags were secured to prevent noise. and the littlest (youngest) guy. Americans are too concerned. as on saipan where japanese tunnels were frequenty found to be occupied by children.
