Description

Yeah I got the new Stomemason thingy... Urban done it before stuff over at DAZ... well he does them so well!!! And I added 11 figures and some props to the scene and picked..."Render".... Poser fell over... surprise, surprise... Actually... I cheated... this is an "Anti Alias Document" under the P6 "Render" pulldown... I wanted to see what it did... and it's the only way Poser would handle it. So count the figures... don't forget the cat (just for Stonemason) , the kids trike, the bikes in the racks, all the cars, the seagulls... the babe... and of course the Wartruck!! ... oh and a nice bum in there as well.... Try and render that in Poser! Thanks for putting up with me... and your comments. Deane

Yeah, I can see it now! My machine would get to the first seagull and completely crap out...IF I even got that far! Let's hear it for Cray, eh? LOL! Amazing composition of all the elements, everything is placed perfectly en masse. I will say this, that cat has balls of steel as there's no way I'd be up there prancing around! But I guess that's what cats do. LOL! Excellent work on this and try not to fry your CPU over there!

That's a pretty complex scene with a ton of detail - love the kiddie bike and trash. It's a shame there isn't any shadows but I guess that'd be asking too much of Poser! The cat is a nice touch and yes, another nice bum thrown in for good measure :) Wonderful work my friend, have a good one - Bravo!

No way around it with a complete scene like that. Carrara, Vue, or Bryce are the only way. Cool scene and I love the most excellent view. ^_^

Hi! What happened with Poser? Did it just crash or did it wine about the memory? There are many ways to get around this. You could do it the tedious way and rescale every texture and move them to another folder. Then you re-map everything. Many textures are way too big in file size and for an image like this, you might not need that extra bit of detail. Number two. Render the image many times with different objects in it and then post work it together. For example, render the scene with just the city object and some of the cars. Preferably those that aren't under the bridge. Then Render the street with the cars under the bridge and maybe the gulls. Finally, render the rest. If you are able to make everything but the bridge and the objects on it invisible, you could just render that image as a TIFF which saves an alpha channel with the image. This makes it much easier when putting it all together in the final image. Good luck! //Jacko

I was going to suggest making things invisible Deane. YOur patience must have been well and truly tried working on this, but it's well worth the effort. Excellent Sir! Steve :o)

Wonderful work, even if it's just an anti-aliased document. That was one of my wishes for Poser 7, that it would automatically rescale textures if it ran out of memory trying to render something... but I doubt that is one of their 7 "reasons" :)
