Description

The cottage and barn are from Cornucopia3d. Some postwork in Photoshop which involved adding a canvas filter. Thanks for viewing and comments.

Excellent concept, use of models and materials, lighting and composition. Really like the POV too! Also the vegetation and how you've used it are very pleasing. And the color is to die for. A few bits bother me: 1. I suspect i'd like it better without the filter (would have to see both). Would it be possible to post a version without the filter? We might all learn something interesting. 2. Placing the birds right over the chimmney makes them look like a ball of smoke. Of course, intellectually we know they are not, but there is no reason to confuse in the slightest. That is, unless the birds are a 'hook' suckering us down to approach a lower level of meaning in the image - which they are not in this case. 3. In the same way, i think placing the kettle right behind the gate spikes is a bit confusing, as are the 2 black ('probably falling leaves' my intellect says, "Hey, render artifacts?" other parts of me ask) near the horse. Maybe getting rid of the filter would raise the detail of the leaves and such? A piece of work you can be very proud of.
