Description

Early last Spring I did a little experiment. I had been unsatisfied with the chickadee shots that I had been getting with my old 80-400mm lens, so I tried a more up close and personal approach with my 100mm macro lens. It took a couple of days to get the chickadees used to me being so close. Here is an example of the results. As always, comments and critiques are welcome and appreciated. Hope you enjoy it! Great shot, I like the clarity of the subject versus the blurred background. Beautiful bird and a great capture!!

I've taken a LOT of photos of Chickadees (they're all over my backyard feeders all year) and getting a "good" shot of these very quick birds is not easy, especially getting their eyes to be visible! You've done a great job on all counts!! Beautiful picture!

I couldnt really decide which one i liked the most of your two bird-shots...but finally i picked this one. Not only because of its amazing quality, but also those rusty tones in the background and on that branch. It really makes that little fella stand out even more. Gorgeous capture once again! #:o)

Oh wow! Sharp and clear image of this very very cute Chickadee. I find them very cute, tiny and round and fat little cuty creatures! Excellent capture! :0))
