Description

Tumbaga refers to the process used by the Tyrona culture in Colombia to create beautiful works of art. This is a technique that combines gold, silver and other metals to cast pieces using the lost wax method. I photographed this mask at El Museo del Oro in Bogota Colombia. It was shot handheld obviously and I was surprised it came out sharp enough to post. What do you think? Andres
