Just when you think life gives you plenty of choices, the path you choose becomes so difficult and the door appears bolted! Be patient. Good things come to those who wait... Thanks for the visit! Jodie :0)

"Wow" is the word upon seeing this. The various textures on the floor and walls, light contrasts, and the ornate bars -- all work toward a powerful composition. And the symbolism adds another thick layer. A great example of how the camera can become a tool for real composition; "capture" doesn't do justice to what you did with this scene. Beautifully and skillfully done.

"If the doors of perception were cleansed everything would appear to man as it is, infinite." William Blake Just the right blend of shadow and light. Terrific mood! FIVE STARS

The lighting and mood is beyond a categorized description. The composition is rich in metaphors, several coming to mind. Has it any significance that the one leading to the ascending stairs are (always) locked? However, the whiter light painting the floor begs one to make a choice. Excellent stimulating work.

Ooooh! Such a beautiful shot! I love places like this...pity they arent too common where i live. But there sure were some neat castles and stuff in Scotland that reminds me of this shot. The lighting is superb indeed! Well done Jodie. Have a happy Halloween. #:o)
