a spooky shot to match the season old friend! Even though you don't celebrate it I think that the old norse religions had a similar day (Beltain or Saimain I think) where the Bridge of Swords opened and the dead streamed back into this world. Hope you have a fine day and a great post!!!!

That is an unbelievable shot! Vunderbar!!! The tree and grassland are awesome. Hard to believe it's the sun and not the moon behind the tree, but I suspect your filters took care of that minor matter. Actually, the photo could be classified as a semi-silhouette. Very spooky effect, perfect for Halloween! Incidently, I logged on super early this morning just to check out your contribution for Halloween, and found it was worth it!
