Description

Trying to keep fit by hiking to Lake Waiau 13,020 ft elevation on Mauna Kea. Hope to get in shape as Terry and I will be taking a new hiker to the lava flow. We just don't want to look bad in front of her as she has been in mountains higher than ours. Aloha and thank you for viewing

Indeed a stunning shot buddy! hmmm I'd die if I had to hike like that... wouldn't it be easier to just hire a helicopter? :P yeah I know they take $$$ ;) Awesome shot though! Thanks for sharing!

Big water and big hills! But, where are the trees? I would need to sit under a big, spreading tree by this water. :-) Fantastic shot.

LOL!!! Getting fit for your female hiking-buddy huh? Sounds....very manly actually. LOL. What a harz landscape, not much vegation is there. But it sure has an amazingly blue sky and blue water. Good luck with your exercise buddy! #:o) ALOOOOOOHA!

Great shot Errol. Last time I was up there we couldn't get out of the lake area. Altitude too high so air gas mixture had to be adjusted. Boy were we afraid. Had to use shortwave radio that time to ask for help. It is soooo beautiful up there. Hope you had a safe Halloween. Aloha
