Description
A little early for the Christmas spirit, perhaps. But nearly no one this year seemed too festive with Halloween. There were virtually no decorations, almost no Jack O'Lanterns, and alarmingly few trick-or-treaters. The ones who did come by didn't spend much time or money on their costumes, it seemed. There weren't really any marathons or Halloween commercials on television that I saw, either, and Halloween is one of my favorite holidays because it's usually so easy to get pumped up for. Not this year. I'm getting a jump on Christmasy stuff because I don't want this holiday to go under celebrated. What can I say? I'm a holiday person.
This image came by accident. I saw my cat sitting at the sliding glass door looking out and noticed how lovely his bulgy curves and fluffy fur seemed, and I just had to sketch lest I forget what it looked like. The sketch sat there a while before I decided to do something with it and as I scanned it, I got the idea to do two cats sitting in the window. After that, the entire picture fell into place. The two cats are my own, Georgie (big and black) and Bourbon (small and white).

Awesome image hon- you did a X-cellent job with it- love the cats and the tree is awesome I want it to snow now hehehe and I agree- every year it seems that it gets worse- less and less celebration..... love your Image hugs anne

Wonderful image, Chesney, as your always are. I particularly like the 'out of focus' look the tree has, as if the camera is focused on Georgie & Bourbon. Btw, Halloween was a pretty big deal around here; lots of lil bunnies in costumes hollering "Trick or Treat!" It's probably my favorite holiday, too.

H_Dog loves the cats :) I agree that this year there seemed to be some apathy toward any commitment to Halloween celebrations. Hope all that changes for the Christmastime celebrations. This image is a great start to the season. :)
