Description

Once a year, in autumn, my sisters and I get together and have a "Sisterday". Most of the time the program of the day is fairly simple so we have enough time left to chat. And we change location every year, so every sister gets to host a Sisterday once in a while. Today was a joint venture of the two youngest sisters (and I'm one of them) and, apart from the shower that caught us while we were trailing through the forest, we had a fun day. Now you may wonder where this story is heading. I'm getting there... ^_^ As a little surprise-gift I had calenders made with my fractals. Since two of my sisters visit Rendo on a regular basis I wanted to put several new images in that calendar as well. So these last few weeks I've been busy making some extra images for my calendar. And this particular image was the last one I made, especially for the cover. It was fun creating this little surprise. Yvonne

What a splendid tradition and gift for your sisters! This fractal image is wonderful, Yvonne. The spiral design is sweet, dynamic and very lovely. The back texture is awesome, and I love the contrasting surfaces between the back and foreground. Excellent work.

Very striking image. I really like the mixture of light and dark...of rough texture and smooth "surface."
