There is no doubt that the Mystic is one of the most potent spellcasters on Arrallon. Their unique abilities to combine divine and arcane magics, as well as skills, are legendary. From the beginnings of the Church of Isis in the ancient Symballan Empire, to the establishment of the School of Mystics in Delsia, to the recent creation of a secret sect of mystical Wild Mages in Feymyra, they have universally proven the most powerful, the most versatile of all the wielders of magic. Understandably, even the Gods fear the misuse of such power, thus only those very few who belong to these sects have been granted this boon. And fortunately, all such religious sects have either been goodly in nature, or at worse, benign.

However, such power is obviously coveted by the forces of darkness. Rumors have reached the agents of The Legacy of those who had been trained within one of these churches that have been turned to the service of evil. There is no worse thing. A Mystic is an unrelenting battery of magical energy, able to effect powerful defensive spells, healing, and the most devastating of arcane magics. And because they have effectively doubled their total magical energies, the sheer number of spells they can throw is staggering. They do not tire easily, nor are they likely to have only one or two damaging spells in their repertoire. In addition, simply to become a Mystic requires exceptional magical ability, very nearly from birth, and their access to restricted training in numerous unique magical feats allows them to enhance their magics many times beyond other of equal experience. If you encounter one of these magical dynamos gone bad, flee. There is little chance that such an individual is a mere acolyte. As the members of the SGL can attest, were any of the Mystics that served in our own ranks to turn against us, we would be surely destroyed.
