The real name of this rose is "Blue Girl"- My name for it is " Glad I Bought And Grew It"- The downside is it puts out very few blooms- This is the third flower in two years.

Despite being a hybrid and tempermental at that, you ought to get at least 4 good blooms a year. Make sure you fertilize it at the end of summer before the leaves start to change in winter. completely take it back to 1/3rd its size after the first freeze or around Jan. 1st. Feed it again in march or feb, and again in june. Add a tablespoon of epson salt to your watering water in March for need minerals and be sure as soon as any bloom it gets drops one petal with age you cut it off - go down the stem to the 3rd set of leaves and make an angular cut to remove it. You should see it perk up with just a little attention an put out more blooms.

This is very beautiful, just as all your flowers are. I read your title and it is the same title as mine, with the moon on the water. Love this color blue, and if it only blooms so rarely, this would be a treasure. Good job. Huggs...Silkylady...
