They were her husbands favorite work boots- he had worn them for years refusing to buy another pair. He was sentimental about them as his lucky pair and the boots he had worked hard to build her a home and farm off a peaceful country road. He had spent many years building them their dream home. That dream was dreamt and carried out in those old worn boots. He had one last project. They needed a pump. It's not so amazing once you read the story why, as vivid as that red pump is the boot still grabs your eye first. Wonderful story, and great pic to go with. Thanks so much for sharing it, it gave my heart a boost. BJ

Amazing 3D effect on this boot Kim!! It truly seems to be coming right out of my computer at me!! I don't know how you do that but it's fantastic. I loved reading your story of the Boot and the hard-working man, told to you by his loving wife. It's a very inspirational story and as always, perfectly told. Thank you so much for taking the time to share it with us. :-) I apologize for being so late at commenting in your gallery Kimmer but I have enjoyed viewing each and every one of your new posts. Your work only continues to get better and more awesome each day!! Have a beautiful weekend. (((Hugs))) and a very belated...Happy Birthday to you! I hope it was a very special day. ~ maggie

LOL.. great story. The photo is marvelous -- like the POV very much. Had a similar story, came from the neighber to the north, now moved away. The "Chief", as he was referred to was a huge man, a bulldozer operator. He left his faithful redwing work boots behind. They were so wide my wife planted hens and chicks in them. They are still out there somewhere.
