Description
These are some of the drawings that I did for the homework after my first class.
We were told to copy from pictures in magazines. Now, he had laid down certain rules...he prefers that the pupil be between close to 2/3 of the iris. I did make one bigger but only about 1/2. Secondly, he only wants one reflective light and it must be round. Finally, he said that the eyes must be bigger than the picture so it is obvious that no tracing occured. Any other discrepencies are because I am still learning.
Thanks for looking.

Wow...if I only had a fraction of your talent!!! As for what your instructor was saying, I understand why he wants larger pupils as larger pupils imply that the subject is favorably attracted to the viewer which makes a viewer like the subject better. However, if you are going to draw reality, sometimes people have small pupils and learning to draw what you see is part of that reality. As for reflected light in the eyes...it's not always round and it's not always a single light source. Obviously you have to do what your instructor says if you want to pass his course, but reality is just that...if you're going to draw from reality learn both ways...But what the heck do I know...I draw and color comics. I don't have an ounce of your talent. Do what you think is best!
