the tiny orchid at top was a gift 10 years ago and it never bloomed until now. the other orchids, I can not claim and or the mums
resizing effected the focus

Resizing does effect apparent sharpness. After doing so it's almost always necessary to sharpen that image using some image editor of your choice. But sharpening is done differently in many editors so you have to find the one you prefer to get the results you're happy with.
