I figured I should put sometime up for my bio. Between work and all my other projects/activities, I haven't spent enough time on Renderosity...
Anyway, my background in programming/psychology/ergonomics doesn't provide enough creative expression for me. I had wanted to be a writer (SF/Fantasy) for years (though I realized that I would never be an Orson Scott Card or a Joss Whedon) and love the art here on Renderosity (thought I'm not artistically talented enough to shine in this arena), but finally decided that cartooning (playing with ideas more than words or images) was more my thing. Some of those SF/Fantasy stories I may turn into a comic strip (or graphic novel).

Very good point!

In two simple panels, you've very elegantly pointed out the hypocrisy of those who complain about the depiction of violence in media but have no objection to violence in real life. This is truly insanity...

true image. I've said this before but it bears repeating.... those who promotethe use of torture could not themselves survive it.

Good points. There seems to be an addiction to violence all around the world. A very sad commentary.

To compare tv programming to the men and women who fight and die to defend your right to say these ridiculous things is disgusting. Do you really think people like going to boot camp and going to war!? Trust me, I was there already. But in the end, it is your right to say these things, it's called freedom. Just remember how this freedom came to you in the first place. Show some respect. -chachi

Chachi, I'm sorry if my cartoon offended you. I wasn't intending to criticize the people who go to boot camp and war, but the people who choose to put other people in boot camp and war and torture. My criticism is of those who on one hand criticize violence in TV and games (fake violence) and on the other hand initiate unnecessary wars (real violence). I was trying to point out that to criticize fake violence and then initiate and promote unnecessary real violence is absurd. Hmmm. Perhaps I should have left boot camp out of my cartoon-as maintaining a strong armed forces can keep invaders out; but perpetuating unnecessary wars and trying to legitimize torture does not help defend our freedom!

Your point is perfectly rendered, and I totally agree! BRAVO!
