Description

Graphite on paper 700mm x 550mm Another one, I just can't stop drawing these things they are so relaxing to do, they don't seem to need a lot of thinking they just come out of the pencil. Paintings are not relaxing they take major thought it's more a love hate relationship and to do a drawing every so often is just needed. Thanks for the comments.

what a lovely treat to the eyes your trees are! when I was a small child my grandparents who lived in Vic used to sometimes take me to see the Fairy Tree carved by writer Ola Cohn in the Fitzroy Gardens. Whenever I see your lovely magickal illustrations it always reminds me of this event that I so enjoyed. I find too, I keep waiting for some shy hidden fae folk to peep back at me from amongst your lovely foilages and trunks ;-))))))))))))))

The best things come from within Graeme, keep on doing what you're doing. This is yet another beautiful and magical tree, I'll never get tired of them.

Your drawing takes me back to childhood. I would take my comics and lemonade and climb up into a favorite tree. I laid back in the bow, lemonade in a hanging planter, and enjoy my comics. I feel that comfort, fun, joy, and relaxation looking at your trees, and I want to climb into them and feel enveloped by the tree. I also love the peaceful reflection in the water in this drawing. Thank you for this gift.

Aaaah yessss! I just love these! Stairs to go up, stairs to come down, stairs just for the sake of stairs, but... Leading where, or where from? That is the question. I like to think that inside those trees, when you climb those stairs, you are taken into another, magical world, rather like Narnia! Expertly created and full of that "something" that just captures the imagination!!

I am so happy to meet one more of your beautiful trees. Just now I want to go up that ladder and hide from the world, full of computers that crasch, and the part of me that hate it!!! Just wonderful drawing that make me a little envious. And I know that since I started use my computer I have negligated my drawing practice
