Description

Painter & Photoshop with V3 used as a ref. I'm not really thrilled with this piece but it was time to finish up and move on to the next thing. Thanks for looking.

I think it is really lovely....especially the hair. Also, I love the flush she has on her ears and face from the cold. A wonderful touch

Cannot understand that you are not thrilled by this image, because I am! :) Beautifully painted, particulary hair and face. The mixture of red and blue skin tones is awesome! Excellent painting work! Britta

i agree about your use of colour in this piece... my favourite bits are the tactile sense you gave the scarf and the ear [nicely lit with a hint of translucency]... from a potential learning perspective, i'd be very interested in knowing what about this piece displeases you...

First, thanks everyone for your kind and helpful comments. I appreciate all the feedback I receive. To answer Giana's question, I guess the thing that disappoints me the most about this piece is a lack of life and character. I tried to add that spark through attention to detail, but I think it falls fairly flat in that sense. From a technical standpoint, I think that my perspective could use some work. On a more positive note, I am rather pleased with how I rendered the skin, eyes, and hair.
