Description

Taken on my trusty 17-85mm IS USM. Post in Photoshop and RawShooter. So this is one of the first RAW images where i see the benefit of using RAW and a converter, i would never have got the sky like it is in this shot without the functionality RawShooter gave me (thanks kai for pointing me towards the program). So this is the infamous road hole bunker on the 17th green of st andrews golf course. This is the match looser - get it in here and you will inevitably drop 2 shots at least as a few pros have discovered over the ages :) The view takes in four of St andrew's landmarks - the road hole bunker being one of them... the others.. well: that bridge (Swilkin Bridge - photographed o so many times), Old and Ancient Clubhouse, and the red building next to it - Hamilton Hall (used to be a halls of residence for the university, now it is going to be converted into a hotel as it was before). Thanks for stopping by and taking a look. Enjoy! Rich http://album.cogia.net

I agree, ths sky has definitely displayed better overall qualities. I am still playing with RawShooter too, not always certain if the results are desirable though. Great composition too and no coincidence for the direction of the rake.

That sky is indeed gorgeous!!! Love that pinkish horizon. That is really beautiful and shooting it vertically was brilliant. Just one thing...as i look at that beautiful horizon i cant help but notice how all the rooftops appear to be leaning to the left. Might it be a tad tilted? Have a great evening! #:O)
