Very well timed John. You make me curious: did you use filters to prevent the direct sun from making flares? Great composition!

I had my lens hood on, but no filter other than my 1a that I use to protect the lens.

This is such a fantastic capture. Its beautiful beyond words. You sure struck gold with that swan...and thats why i suggest you change your thumb. Even though its beautiful...it still doesnt do justice to this shot since the swan is the icing on the cake for me. #:o)

Thanks for the advice Andreas, I wanted the swan to be a bit of a surprise for the viewrs, but you are right, if they don't click on the thumb then it won't get the views. :P
